Savory Spice Shop

OMG people if you like to cook AT ALL and you are every around Nashville or any of their other locations you MUST MUST MUST stop at The Savory Spice Shop. People this place is AMAZING. They have any spice you can imagine and the prices were really good too. You can buy as much or as little as you need which is perfect for trying something out, getting something you only need a little for for a recipe, or buying mass quantities so you can have enough Hot Chicken Spice to last you through the Zombie Apocalypse.

When you first walk in a super helpful staff member will let you know how everything works if you have never been there. You can taste EVERYTHING. You just put a little in your hand and then can taste it and if you put to much in your hand you just dump it on the floor. LOL Love it! Things are in sections by type, or country, or theme, but make sure you look over it ALL to find some really hidden gems in there. We love that you can get bottles or bags because bags take up WAY less space and we all know space in a RV is precious. I could have spent hours in there trying and smelling everything but not everyone was as keen on sitting there waiting for me. So I will have to find another one in another location and go alone.

I ended up with a LARGE bottle of Hot Chicken Spice, a bag of poppyseed, garlic powder that is AMAZING, some real cinnamon, and a bag of black onyx chocolate sugar (yep it it wonderful as the name suggests). My father-in-law got a bag of some Indian spice. There were SO many things I wanted to buy and will have to stop at some other locations in our travels. Though you can also order online. Their website also has recipes on there if you need some ideas and you can submit ideas as well if you make something really yummy.

The front of the store. See how cute it is?

Just one example of the many spices they have. See the little bottles? Those are the samples.

More and more and more......so much yum.

Ashton was the only kid that cared since he loves to cook. Here is him trying the Black Onyx Chocolate Sugar.

A whole section of just salt and pepper. And Ashton washing his hands.

Kids got stickers. Everyone loves stickers.
