Pajama shorts...

So since Cat Boy is so hard to fit into clothes and diapers I decided I would make him some myself. Before I start on the diapers I wanted to try out some pajama shorts. So here they are.
Of course we had to start with Batman! They both LOVE them and The Boy wants to help so bad! I let him help by handing me pins and such but that is about all for now. I have some scraps I am going to let him play with and maybe get some fluff and have him make a pillow. Of course now I have to make some for daddy too so they can all match and figure something out for Monkey....they have yet to say if I can be included in on the matching so we will see.

One last picture of The Boy posing....cracks me up!

Eric's first flag football pratice

Today The Boy had his very first flag football practice. He was so excited (as was mommy). Each day he would ask how many sleeps till football and I would tell him and almost every day he would take out the football and want to practice! So today was the big day and he did GREAT! Let me say though it was HOT HOT HOT out!

Here is him meeting the coach and getting ready for warm ups. For the first 15 mins or so he stuck next to a boy Liam he knows. Every time one of them would move to far away The Boy would scoot right back next to him. :)

Getting put into his first position. He was a receiver for this turn.
Each kid got a chance to wear the flags and run while the other kids tried to catch them! When The Boy was up he ran and would change directions when a kid was about to get him! When he was done he was so proud and yell out "MOM! MOM! I didn't let those kids get me!"
Then it was time to catch! He did the best in his group catching the ball every time. Then he ran over to me to get a drink while the coach was throwing to some other kids and when he went back it was break time so the coach practiced with just him for a min and he missed 2 but caught the rest! I was so proud!

All in all it was a great practice! Except for the obnoxious dad who kept yelling at his kid! I mean COME ON they are 4 and 5! Never mind the fact that his kids name is the same so my poor kid kept looking thinking he was being yelled at! I swear before the season is over that guy is gonna have a few words said to him!

Hey out there....

Wow I have really been slacking off. I have not blogged in forever. So this will be a general update then I will try and get back to the fun stuff.

Monkey turned 6 months yesterday. the time is just flying by! He weighed a while 12lbs 1/2 oz. Pretty much gained nothing since his 4 month appt but the doc is gonna let it go another month before we run any tests. He was 25 1/4 inches long. He has started to sit in the last few days and is FINALLY starting to sleep a bit better at night. Not great but I will take waking up 2x over 3.

Cat Boy is being Cat Boy. Getting into everything. He is a child who loves to go off and play by himself but lately I have been finding him in more and more not so great activity choices when he is off alone. He has really started to take to video games over the last few weeks and is getting better at them. The Hubby can not deny him as a child either. I swear these boys......

The Boy is doing good. He starts flag football on Aug 1st and is REALLY REALLY excited. He asks us to practice every day. He is really getting better and better to each day. You can find him running around the house all the time. When he runs by you he tells you he is practicing his running for football. He also brings us the ball ALL the time to practice his catching and throwing. So super cute. We can not wait to see him in action. It is a big time commitment too and he knows this. They practice 3 days a week and a game on Saturday. Thankfully the practice is at a park so we can amuse the other 2.

There has been a lot going on here lately and tisk tisk on me for not blogging it but I will try and be better. Gotta go for now though as Cat Boy has been a bit quiet for to long again.

Ashton's first meal

Yesterday Monkey had real food for the first time. I made him a nice batch of avocado. The Boy was way more excited then any of us that Monkey was eating.

The first bite! Each time I would get some The Boy would say "mom tell him here comes the choo choo" or plane or car or truck or whatever vehicle struck his fancy at the moment.
He seemed to really enjoy it. He did not eat as much as The Boy and Cat Boy did their first meals but he liked it! Also he stayed pretty clean! He only ate his hand once the whole time!
Cat Boy was very interested in what I was doing and even said Ahhhhh once but when I went to see if he wanted some he said NO! and pushed the spoon away.
Monkey was sure to let me know when he was done. The Boy took this picture. He just loves taking pictures of everyone!

Corn anyone?

So Cat Boy took a bag of corn out of the freezer while lunch was cooling off. Nothing new he has a thing for bags of frozen veggies. Well this was was already open. So needless to say there was Cat Boy sitting on the floor having a snack.

Chef The Boy the pizza maker

For dinner tonight we made homemade pizza. I made the dough in the bread machine and then The Boy helped me shape it and make them. He got out his little roller and tried to roll out the dough but it was not going to well. We Tried to toss it like the big timers but anyone who knows me knows how that turned out. LOL We managed to stretch them into a good size and went on the top them.

The top pizza is the cheese on mommy and daddy's pizza. The Boy decided him and Cat Boy wanted orange cheese only. He did a lot of the work himself slicing the onions for daddy's pizza and using the chop chop for the garlic. However he wanted me to smash it with the knife to take off the skins.
Here are the pizzas before they were baked. On the left is the cheddar cheese and garlic pizza for the kiddos and on the right is the sausage, garlic, and onion pizza for mommy and daddy. Below are the finished products!
Of course we had to get a shot of everyone enjoying the meal made by Chef The Boy!

The Boy's first 2 wheeler ride

So last night we all went into the back yard to play while the foil dinners were cooking on the grill. There was a little boy who had been riding his bike in the side of the townhouses earlier in the day and he rode by again. He stopped to say hi and Cat Boy ran over to him to hug him and give him kisses. Cat Boy had been on the back deck when the boy had rode by earlier and was talking to him. So the boy dropped his bike and came over to play with the kids. They were having a great time when his sister ran by and told him if he was going to play here to bring his bike over. So he got his bike and it was a 2 wheeler. The Boy was admiring the bike so we told him we would check out WalMart tomorrow to check out the bikes. I asked the little boy how old he was and he is also 4. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of him. He happened to pass when we were returning from BJ's and asked to play with the boys again but we had things to do. I found out yesterday he has no mom. :( That just breaks my heart. The Boy really likes him and can not wait to show off his new bike. He picked it out in WalMart and rode it through all the isles as I did my grocery shopping. He also got a cool Ben 10 helmet to match. When we got home he could not wait to get all geared up and show daddy how well he could ride.

Cat Boy was very excited to see The Boy on the bike and enjoyed chasing him up and down the parking lot.
Of course it has been raining off and on for DAYS here so there are puddles everywhere. So each time Cat Boy got tired of chasing The Boy or The Boy went past a fun looking puddle Cat Boy had to take a break to play. The boy can NOT say no to playing in water. (see the bath blog to prove it LOL)

Anf of course a shot of the cool Ben 10 helmet! It also came with knee pads and elbow pads. They have XLR8 (accelerate) on them which of course help him to go SUPER SUPER fast!
